PHOTOGRAPHERS

We are so excited to share this opportunity with you! Come work with us! We have two photographer positions available. At Sandbox we are committed to helping our team members grow both within the company and in their own businesses and artistic pursuits. We will train you to work with studio lighting both indoors and outdoors. We offer FREE monthly studio hours where you will have access to our wide range of studio equipment so that you can hone your skills and let your creativity flow.

ABOUT US

Sandbox Photographers is a local female owned photography studio right here in the East Bay. Our kid-first philosophy means that we do everything with the children's well being and safety in mind, from our kind approach to our silly jokes. Co-owners Adi & Julia are professional photographers with years of experience photographing both children and adults. Professionalism and quality are among our top priorities and are integral to the service we provide. Our mission is to bring school photography to a whole new level by combining quality photography with modern workflow solutions.

THE JOB

  • Photograph 1-3 Schools per week during fall & spring seasons

  • Pick up and return gear from/to our studio in Martinez

  • Cull and deliver images remotely

  • Make really silly jokes to get kids to smile and laugh

YOU (AKA THE IDEAL CANDIDATE)

  • Are available to work weekday mornings

  • LOVE working with kids

  • Know all about DSLR photography- ie: you shoot in manual mode

  • Have been photographing PEOPLE professionally for at least 2 years

  • Have a valid CA drivers license, a good driving record and your own reliable transportation

  • Can clear a background check & provide proof of up to date Covid vaccination

  • Are physically able to lift equipment and spend many hours on your feet- this is not a desk job!

  • Are organized, reliable and always arrive on time

COMPENSATION

  • $35 - $50 per hour DOE

  • We cover mileage, provide camera & lighting equipment plus an assistant

  • $20 per training hour, DOE
